As you may have heard, the incredible Shrouds of the Somme Exhibition is being displayed at Bristol Cathedral from 11-18 November to mark the end of the Battle of the Somme. This particularly moving installation will doubtedly have a strong impact again and large numbers are expected to visit, especially over the weekend which includes Remembrance Sunday. There is also likely to be local and national press and TV coverage.

The organising committee are now pulling together an army of people to staff the Exhibition and as many of you have expressed an interest in helping.

There is a requirement for 84 volunteers to operate a 2-shift system (0900-1300 and 1300-1700) from Friday 11th November until the evening of Friday 18th November with 6 volunteers per shift. Each shift will have a lead volunteer who will be briefed on the duties and will supervise events. Duties will include assisting the public, collecting donations, which will be for SSAFA Bristol, distributing programmes and taking orders. 24-hour security will be provided by a security firm.

If you would like to volunteer, please fill in the contact sheet here:
